Yves Repiquet is one of France’s most distinguished lawyers, with more than five decades of experience in litigation, white-collar criminal law, arbitration, mediation, and the resolution of complex domestic and international disputes. A member of both the Paris and Luxembourg Bars, he is widely recognized for his leadership within the legal profession and his longstanding commitment to the rule of law, human rights, and professional ethics.
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 1972, Yves Repiquet built a distinguished career advising corporations, financial institutions, investment funds, public figures, executives, and high-net-worth individuals in sensitive and high-profile matters. His practice has focused particularly on white-collar criminal defense, regulatory investigations, arbitration, mediation, and complex commercial disputes. Over the course of his career, he has represented clients before French courts, European institutions, and international tribunals.
He served as President (Bâtonnier) of the Paris Bar from 2005 to 2006, one of the most prestigious leadership positions within the French legal profession. Prior to this role, he was Secretary of the Conference and a member of the Paris Bar Council, contributing significantly to the governance and development of the legal profession.
Throughout his career, he has acted as counsel in major criminal and regulatory proceedings involving senior corporate executives, financial institutions, and public officials. He is also regularly appointed as mediator or arbitrator in complex disputes involving international companies and cross-border interests.
Beyond private practice, Yves Repiquet has played an important role in public institutions and the promotion of fundamental rights. He served as President of the French National Consultative Commission on Human Rights (CNCDH), advising public authorities on human rights issues and democratic governance. He was also a member of the High Council of Administrative Tribunals and Courts of Appeal and represented the Paris Bar before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
His engagement in public affairs reflects a career-long dedication to the protection of civil liberties, access to justice, and the independence of the legal profession.
Yves Repiquet holds a Doctorate in Law (PhD) from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University and completed his legal studies with a specialization in criminal law.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the legal profession and public service, Yves Repiquet has received several of France’s highest national honors, including:
